Award winning American Impressionist Bill Schmidt takes his students step by step, from blank canvas to finished painting. He gives careful attention to each student, with frequent critiques. Learn how Bill creates a wonderful sense of the light in his paintings, and how he applies his paint to achieve his gorgeous surfaces!
This workshop takes place at a waterfront estate and studio on the Wye River.

Bill paints en plein air through out the seasons, doing all but his largest paintings on site. "I like nature, but also nature touched by people." His work has appeared in Art Business News, American Artist, The Artist's Magazine and on the cover of the 2003 edition of the Guide to Cruising the Chesapeake Bay.
Bill's work has twice been juried into the annual national exhibition of the American Impressionist Society at the Hillgoss Gallery in Chicago -- most recently in 2007.
