South Street Art Gallery is very pleased to offer our newly expanded workshops program. We now offer weekend and week long workshops instructed by our gallery artists, as well as several workshops by nationally recognized guest artists.

Most workshops are geared to those who have a basic familiarity with their medium, and several are for all levels of artists.

Workshop enrollment is limited to a total of 15 to 20 students per session, varying according to the instructor's preference.

Our workshop locations are inspiring yet down-to-earth, with many on private waterfront estates and farms tucked away on estuaries of the Chesapeake Bay.

California Colorist
Camille Przewodek
Session I:  July 27 - 31, 2009    Color Boot Camp
$650
Session II:  August 1 & 2, 2009    Intensive Figure
$280

Immerse yourself in a week or weekend of painting and instruction with Camille at Maple Hall, an historic waterfront bed and breakfast near Easton and St. Michaels.

Nationally known "California Colorist" Camille Przewodek was the Awarding Judge at the 2006 Plein Air-Easton! Competition and Arts Festival, July 10-16, 2006. After a very successful fine art illustration career, Camille began study in 1980 at The Cape School of Art with Henry Hensche. This experience “opened her eyes” to Monet’s impressionist tradition of seeing and painting color with the influence of light. Camille teaches Hensche's colorist theory in a very structured program, beginning with the basics and building each day upon what was learned the previous day. Challenge what you already know, and learn to use and see color in a way you may never have before. To read more about Camille please click here.

These two sessions are Camille's only East Coast workshops. They are scheduled immediately after Plein Air-Easton! 2009, July 20- 26, 2009. Come early, enjoy the festival and paint in the Quick Draw competition on Saturday, July 25!
