Are you an artist or entrepreneur looking for a new lifestyle?
Consider moving to a charming small arts town on the Eastern Shore of Maryland....Easton....one with a national art reputation! Consistently ranked in the top 100 best small towns to live in nationwide, it is also home to the the largest and most successful plein air festival in the country. Easton attracts artists and artist lovers alike because of the high quality of the arts, the sophistication of the town, and the beauty of the area.
This is a golden opportunity for the right person or couple to buy a turn-key operation with a stable of stellar mid-Atlantic artists. The building (circa 1842) has three floors with three full baths and is completely renovated. It is located in the historic business district of Easton. It is zoned for both business and residential, so one can live, work and sell all in the same location.
Easton is a small town of approximately 16,000 residents located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. It can be quiet at times (good for producing art) and very busy at others with major festivals and cultural entertainment. From our location you can walk to just about anything you might need including excellent restaurants, theater, an accredited art museum, the hospital, shopping and groceries. The bustling town of Annapolis is only 45 minutes away and we are just over an hour to the Atlantic Ocean at Rehoboth, Assateague or Ocean City. A van from the Easton Airport to Baltimore/Washington International Airport makes us very accessible. If you are looking for a new adventure or change of pace, this could be the perfect opportunity.
While owning the South Street Art Gallery for the last 12 years we've met wonderful art lovers and fantastic artists, many of whom have become close and dear friends. It’s been an exciting adventure owning a business in this vibrant and prosperous small Eastern Shore town. As gallery owners, we have also found good homes for an abundance of art.
But it’s time to take advantage of our opportunities to travel, and for Nancy to teach and paint. We are selling the business just as soon as we find the right new owner.
