Bill Walker is a native of the Eastern Shore of Maryland, where he once worked as a waterman.
In 1987, he graduated from the Schuler School of Art in Baltimore, and has been creating bronzes, carvings and paintings full time ever since. Bill has exhibited at the Waterfowl Festival in Easton, Maryland, and continues to develop new collectors through South Street Art Gallery.
Bill's bronzes are one of a kind and personal. He sculpts each piece from wax, then bronzes it. Once the piece is bronzed, Bill finds a piece of wood with a grain and color which compliments the bronze, carves a base from that wood, and attaches the bronzed piece.
His wood carvings are also one of a kind -- no two are alike. Bill finds his inspiration in nature, and carves the shore birds he knows so well from his memories of time spent on the water.
