Larry Moore has been painting en plein air for the last 20 years. His recents awards include the Artist's Choice Award at Carmel Art Festival 2006, the Award of Excellence at Painting the Golden Isles, and Best of Show at Carmel Art Festival 2005.
Larry was juried into Plein Air-Easton! 2006, where he was awarded Honorable Mention.
"My goal in painting, whether in studio or outdoors, is to achieve enough honesty in the work that the painting becomes a window to a new place for the viewer, a place of rest from this hectic world. Having witnessed the rapid growth and decimation of our natural environment, painting here has become my way of reminding the public of what is quickly becoming the nation's vanishing natural beauty."
