Brad McNew grew up in Fayetteville, PA, where long before the cell phone and computer age, he and his brother enjoyed playing outdoors in the dirt, sand, mud and water. He received his BA in Art Education from Kutztown State University, Kutztown, PA.

He then acquired an assistantship in the ceramics department at Cedar Crest and Muhlenburg Colleges, Allentown, PA, where he taught and worked intensely with clay. Brad moved to Chambersburg, started a successful retail spa business, married and raised four daughters.

Life has now come full circle. Brad sent his daughters to college, sold his business, built a studio/gallery wing on his home, and is back playing with mud in the middle of the woods, creating sculpted raku fired creatures.
