Our September workshop in Quimiac, France is filling quickly, as are both sessions of Camille Przewodeck's workshops in late July. Register now, to reserve a space!

NEW! Tracey Frugoli's April Workshop, Unleash the Passion and Overcome Self Doubt is for all levels of painters, and the perfect launch for your plein air season. If you want to paint, but just don't know how to get started, or if you are suffering in painter's purgatory, this workshop is for you!
Our new electronic newsletter will be sent monthly, with infrequent updates and invitations in between. If you receive this newsletter, it is because you have requested to opt into our email list. We never share your information, and never sell our list. In our newsletter, we plan to alert you about upcoming shows and new artwork in the gallery, and share our insights about collecting fine art. We always welcome your input and suggestions.

We're very excited about 2007, as we have some terrific shows planned! Passionate painters Sara Linda Poly and Tracey Frugoli will be featured in a joint show in April, and Plein Air-Easton 2005 Grand Prize Winner Gavin Brooks has a one-woman show in June. In September, gallery favorite Ed Cooper brings all fresh work for his one-man show. Our reputation continues to grow as a gallery representing some of the finest plein air painters on the East Coast. We continue to support and promote Easton's Plein Air Competition and Arts Festival as a vehicle for bringing this exciting development in representational art to prominence on the East Coast. I sincerely feel that as this competition grows, the Eastern Shore will become a major hub of artistic activity of all kinds, benefiting artists, galleries and the art-loving public. I urge you to consider visiting us in July for the third annual event, and of course, we would love to see you in the gallery as well.

In October we will have a change a pace as we feature the beautiful and finely detailed still life oil paintings of Jane Hartley.

New galleries on South Street  -- the Sharp-Mayer Gallery, across the street at 10-B South Street is opening in March, along with the Gallery Viviann Napp at 109 South Street, bringing even more artistic energy to South Street!

Remember -- we are always open on Sunday, so if the winter blues get to be too much for you, stop by the gallery for a strong dose of beautiful paintings and color. I just returned from a painting trip to the Bahamas and have lots of Caribbean scenes to warm you up!

Now, back to the studio,

Nancy Tankersley, Artist/Owner

"The man who has honesty, integrity, the love of inquiry, the desire to see beyond, is ready to appreciate good art. He needs no one to give him an "Art Education"; he is already qualified. He needs but to see pictures with his active mind, look into them for the things that belong to him, and he will find soon enough in himself an art connoisseur and an art lover of the first order." (Robert Henri, painter, teacher and author of The Art Spirit)
